Personal Data We Process

  • Contact form and correspondence: When you fill in the contact form or send us an e-mail, the name and surname, company name, e-mail address, telephone number and message you write. Your IP address and browser information at the time you submit the form are also added to the form record.
  • Membership application form: When you apply to become a member of the association, the identity details requested in the form (name and surname, Turkish ID number, mother’s and father’s names, place and year of birth, and the place where you are registered in the civil registry), company or business details (company name, your title, company address and telephone number), your mobile phone number, your e-mail address and your declaration that you have read the association’s bylaws. Your IP address and browser information at the time you submit the form are also added to the application record.
  • Visit statistics: Information such as the pages you view, the time you spend on the site, your device and browser type, your approximate location (country and city level) and the source from which you came to the site. This information does not identify you by name; it only helps us see overall usage trends.
  • Technical connection logs: Records such as IP address, browser information, and date and time of access, kept by the server and security infrastructure so that the site runs securely and without interruption.

Purposes and Legal Grounds

  • Responding to your contact, cooperation and service requests: the processing being directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract, and the legitimate interest of the data controller (KVKK Art. 5/2-c and Art. 5/2-f).
  • Assessing your membership application, keeping your member record if your membership is accepted, and carrying out membership-related correspondence: the processing being directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract, and compliance with the legal obligation to keep member records under the legislation on associations (KVKK Art. 5/2-c and Art. 5/2-ç).
  • Keeping the site secure, preventing misuse and fixing technical problems: legitimate interest and compliance with legal obligations (KVKK Art. 5/2-f and Art. 5/2-ç).
  • Understanding how the site is used and improving its content (anonymous visit statistics): the legitimate interest of the data controller (KVKK Art. 5/2-f). This measurement is carried out only at an aggregate statistical level, with due regard to your fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • Advertising cookies and Meta Pixel (advertising measurement): only your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5/1). Explicit consent is given with the Accept option in the cookie banner and can be withdrawn at any time.

Method of Collection

Your personal data is collected through the contact and membership application forms on the site and through e-mail correspondence, by automated means through your browser during your visit, and through statistics cookies; advertising cookies are used only if you give your consent. The information you send through the contact and membership application forms is recorded in the site’s administration panel, together with your IP address and browser information at the time you submit the form, and forwarded to us by e-mail.

Transfers and Transfers Abroad

Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be shared with the suppliers that provide the site’s hosting, content delivery, security and technical maintenance services and e-mail service, with the services named below and, where required by law, with authorised public institutions and organisations.

Visit statistics are measured with the Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager services of Google LLC. In this context, the pages you visit, where you came to the site from, your device and browser information and your approximate location (city level) are transmitted to Google. Google Analytics uses your IP address only to determine your approximate location and does not store it. Visits to the site are also counted with Metricool, a social media and site statistics service; in the process, the page you open, your browser information and your IP address are transmitted to Metricool.

Meta Pixel, the advertising measurement tool of Meta Platforms, runs only if you choose the Accept option in the cookie banner. In that case, the pages you visit, your browser information and your IP address are transmitted to Meta for advertising measurement.

The map on the Contact page is loaded from Google Maps; when you open that page, your IP address and browser information are transmitted to Google and Google may set its own cookies. As the fonts on the site are also loaded from the Google Fonts service, your IP address is transmitted to Google when the pages open.

The site is delivered through the servers of hosting and security service providers. These providers keep the technical logs required for the operation and security of the site (IP address, time of visit, page opened). The information you send through the forms is also stored on the server where the site is hosted.

As the servers of Google, Meta, Metricool and the hosting/security service providers are located abroad, this data is transferred abroad within the scope of Article 9 of the KVKK. The transfer is made only for the purposes stated in this notice and to the extent necessary.

Your data is not sold. Advertising cookies are activated only if you choose the Accept option.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files saved to your browser by the websites you visit. Three types of cookies are used on this site:

  • Necessary cookies: tk_cerez_onay remembers your cookie preference and is kept for 7 days. pll_language remembers the language in which the site is displayed (Turkish or English) and is kept for 1 year. When needed, the site’s security infrastructure may also set short-lived security cookies (e.g. cf_clearance) to distinguish malicious traffic.
  • Statistics cookies (Google Analytics): _ga and _ga_<ID> distinguish visits from one another to produce statistics showing how many people use the site and how; they are kept for up to 2 years. They are used whichever option you choose in the cookie banner.
  • Advertising cookies (Google and Meta advertising measurement): Google cookies starting with _gcl_* and _gac_*, and Meta Pixel’s _fbp cookie (kept for 90 days). They are set only if you choose the Accept option in the cookie banner.

If you choose Statistics Only, advertising cookies are not set, Meta Pixel does not run and no data is shared for advertising purposes; only the necessary cookies and the statistics measurement that does not directly identify you continue. If you choose Accept, advertising cookies and Meta Pixel are also activated. In both cases Google signals are turned off. Visit data in Google Analytics is deleted after 14 months.

The site’s security and performance infrastructure may also produce overall visit statistics that do not identify you, without using cookies. The social media links on the site (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X) only open the relevant platform when you click them; the privacy policies of these platforms apply.

You can change your cookie preference at any time: Change my cookie preference. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

Retention Period

Your personal data, including contact and membership application form records and e-mail correspondence, is kept for as long as required by the purpose of processing and for the retention periods set out in the applicable legislation; at the end of these periods it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

  • learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it,
  • learn the purpose of the processing and whether your data is used in line with that purpose,
  • know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your data is transferred,
  • request correction if your data is incomplete or inaccurate,
  • request the deletion or destruction of your data under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK,
  • request that any correction, deletion or destruction be notified to the third parties to whom your data has been transferred,
  • object to a result against you that arises from the analysis of your data exclusively by automated systems,
  • claim compensation if you suffer damage due to the unlawful processing of your data.

How to Apply

You can send your requests regarding these rights, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, by e-mail to [email protected] or in writing to the address given in the Data Controller section. Depending on its nature, your request is concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest.
